About the event
Ceci n’est pas is a dynamic, collective and ever-changing story that aims to dissect the many souls and contradictions of urban space through diverse views, perspectives and reflections. For the last three years, the Ceci n’est pas programme has taken place in Italy, so this will be a unique opportunity to participate in the first UK Edition.
On the first Saturday of each month, the participants will walk around Hackney with professional photographers, learning how to connect with their environment and capture great shots.
The second half of the session will be in the Photobook Cafe. Participants will get to edit their pictures and present them to the group. The participants will pick the photo they want to display at the public gallery and everyone will walk away with their printed pictures. This process will repeat every month.
Participants will walk away with new skills, a portfolio of work and a chance to have their work displayed at a public gallery.
