About the course Start Date: September 2024
Years 1+2: You will study towards an RSL Level 3 Diploma in Creative and Performing Arts. This qualification is equivalent to three A-Levels and is a realistic industry-specific, vocational alternative to Sixth Form and also accrues up to 168 UCAS points.
Year 3: Develop industry-specific skills in preparation for further study in performing arts at university level or go onto professional work. On completion of the third year, you will obtain an RSL Level 4 Professional Diploma in Performing Arts – equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate (foundation) university degree course.
Course costs Costs included with the scholarship:
1 full 3-year scholarship worth £7,500 per year (worth a total of £22,500).
Costs not included in the scholarship:
£275 per qualification (to continue on to level 4 would require an additional £275 after year 3). Uniform for classes. Approximately £150 – £300 depending on branded choice. There is no on-site accommodation, and students will need to find/fund their own place to live and cover any associated travel.
Requirements
- You need to be 16+ to enrol onto this course.
- You will need to have passed GCSE English and Mathematics to begin studying on this course (Platinum Academy are open to discussing alternative options if you are unable to meet this requirement).
- There is a £10 Fee to secure your audition place.
- Please specify on the application that you are applying for the 'Go Live Scholarship'.
Open & Audition Day Applicants will be invited to a special Open & Audition Day where they can explore the campus, meet students and staff and participate in classes. You will also learn about our ambitious vision and the exciting training that is on offer. You will have a tour of the academy and also participate in Commercial, Musical Theatre and Acting workshops. You will need to come prepared with either a song, monologue or dance piece that you feel best shows your skills and present this to an Audition Panel.
